Who Would Have Thought?

by

Apparently, Gerard Way is into more than just making music.  He’s now making comic books too!  Spin.com are reporting that “Gerard Way is trying his hand at comic book writing with the new series, Umbrella Academy”.  They also told us a little bit about it. They said: “My Chemical Romance’s Gerard Way has taken up a unique side project: writing comic books. The singer signed on with Dark Horse comics to produce a new series called Umbrella Academy, about Sir Reginald Hargreeves, a “world-renowned scientist and inventor, intrepid adventurer, successful entrepreneur, champion cricketer, and closet space-alien,” and his seven super-human kids, according to Dark Horse. In the comics, the kids need to “learn to get past their spectacularly dysfunctional childhoods” to save the world.

The first series of Umbrella Academy will make its debut in early- to mid-2007 with six issues which will then be compiled into a graphic novel.

Interesting concept.  I can’t wait to check it out!

A Look Back At A Lyrical Masterpeice

by

I don’t know about everyone else but I love this song. “Honey This Mirror Isn’t Big Enough For The Both Of Us,” is one of my favorite songs from their album “I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love.” I thought I’d post the video and lyrics so everyone can hear. :)
MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE LYRICS
“Honey, This Mirror Isn’t Big Enough For The Two Of Us”
The amount of pills I’m taking, counteracts the booze I’m drinking
and this vanity I’m breaking, lets me live my life like this
and well I find it hard to stay, with the words you say
Oh baby let me in
Oh baby let me in
Well I’ll choose the life I’ve taken, never mind the friends I’m making
and the beauty that I’m faking lets me live my life like this
And well I find it hard to stay, with the words you say
Oh baby let me in
Oh baby let me inAnd you can cry all you want to, I don’t care how much
You’ll invest yourself in me, we’re not working out (we’re not working out)
We’re not working out (we’re not working out)
And you can’t touch my brother and you can’t keep my friends
and we’re not working out, we’re not working out
This time I mean it, never mind the times I’ve seen it

Well I hope I’m not mistaken by the news I heard from waking
and it’s hard to say I’m shaken, by the choices that I make
and well I find it hard to stay, with the words you say
Oh baby let me in
Oh baby let me in
Well I’ll choose this life I’ve taken, never mind the friends I’m making
And I get a little shaken, because I live my life like this
And well I find it hard to stay, with the words you say
Oh baby let me in
Oh baby let me in

And you can cry all you want to, I don’t care how much
You’ll invest yourself in me, we’re not working out,
We’re not working out
And you can’t keep my brother, and you won’t fuck my friends
and we’re not working out, we’re not working out
This time I mean it, never mind the times I’ve seen it

Never again, never, never again

(and you can cry all you want to, I don’t care how much you’ll invest yourself in me)
ne.. never… never… never again
(and you can cry all you want to, I don’t care how much you’ll invest yourself)
ne.. never… never… oh baby let me.. oh baby… oh baby
Oh baby let me in
Oh baby let me in
I’m knocking let me in
Oh baby let me in
Oh baby let me in
I’m knocking let me in
Oh baby let me in
Oh baby let me in

New Album for MCR?

by

Apparently My Chemical Romance is in the process of thinking of a new album.  Quoted by Gerard Way he says:“It feels like it’s about the right time to be making a new record.”

Way continues to tell Kerrang! (A rock music magazine for those that don’t know) that their last effort, The Black Parade, is “the kind of record that you make but don’t necessarily have a burning desire to perform because its creation was almost the point”, and that “it was so artistically ambitious that it made us want to keep on creating.”.

We’ll expect to hear more about the album as we hopefully get closer to the 2008 release date.

Woot!
